At the intersection of technology, marketing, AI and sustainability — building ecosystems where innovation meets purpose.
Born in Antarvedi, a remote fishing village near the Bay of Bengal, YS Michael grew up amid the everyday realities of rural India — and has spent his career closing the gaps he was raised inside.
The disparities weren't distant statistics for Michael — limited schooling and healthcare, financial illiteracy, and the struggles of farming families were the lived experience of his community. That awareness became a lasting conviction: business tools are only worth as much as the change they create for people.
After a Bachelor's from Adikavi Nannaya University and an MBA, his career began in 2015 on the supply-chain floor at Flipkart. The role sharpened his operational discipline — but clarified that he wanted work that directly improved lives in villages like his own. An invitation from Prof. Solomon Darwin of UC Berkeley soon changed his trajectory, and he joined the Smart Village Movement, rising to Andhra Pradesh State Director.
As a UC Berkeley Fellow he worked at the intersection of government, academia, Silicon Valley corporations, Indian startups and rural communities — building partnerships that bridged three state governments (Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya), global corporates across India & Silicon Valley, and leading universities to create scalable, sustainable impact.
Today, as Head of Digital Marketing at a US-based global technology enterprise in Atlanta, he carries that same conviction into the corporate world — helping global organizations across IT, AI, Manufacturing, Engineering and Healthcare accelerate growth through go-to-market strategy, digital transformation, AI adoption and global partnerships. Over 10+ years he has led, mentored and advised 100+ initiatives across the Sustainable Development Goals.
End-to-end marketing and corporate-growth leadership — from awareness and engagement to lead generation, conversion and market leadership.
Across governments, global corporates and universities — turning ideas into scalable, sustainable solutions.

Advising at the intersection of advanced marketing, US visa & immigration consulting, blue-collar staffing, R&D and social impact — guided by the formula: World Problems + Advanced Technology + Business-Model Innovation + AI = Sustainable Solutions.
Led market research, SWOT, advanced digital marketing and lead generation; built strategic partnerships and supported the sales cycle for an IT-solutions firm serving healthcare, supply chain, BFSI, energy and education.

Ran a free COVID care center for below-poverty-line communities with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, leading digital outreach and community engagement to maximise reach and impact.
Built Open-Innovation business models (AI, IoT, edge, blockchain) for startups and states; contributed to two published Harvard cases with Prof. Henry Chesbrough; convened the Open Innovation Conference-India for 80+ MNCs, chaired by the Hon'ble CM; and co-authored a white paper surveying 10,000 farmers.
Managed logistics, fulfilment-center operations and outbound supply chain — pairing operational efficiency with early digital-marketing initiatives.
We are not building roads or infrastructure. We are building people to revolutionize the rural economy — because when you empower a single villager, you empower the whole village.YS Michael · The Smart Village philosophy
